V minulosti se duplexní protokoly JETI používaly k zajištění vysokorychlostního a spolehlivého spojení mezi dvěma zařízeními. V protokolu JETI Duplex jsou obě zařízení propojena vysokorychlostním duplexním kanálem. Duplexní kanál se používá k přenosu a příjmu mapquest directions dat vysokou rychlostí. Duplexní protokol byl široce používán v počátcích internetu, ale dnes již není široce používán
